In 2022, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan hosted the presentation of the 100-volume book series "Gems of Turkic Literature." It is noteworthy that among the publications gifted to the President of Kazakhstan, K.K. Tokayev, this series stands out as one of the most unique.
The multi-volume collection, prepared by the Union of Writers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, includes 629 works by renowned poets, thinkers, and writers from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Karakalpakstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Hungary, spanning the 11th to 21st centuries. These works have been translated into Uzbek.
Over 200 translators, along with 100 literary scholars, textologists, writers, editors, and artists, contributed to the preparation of this series.
The collection was published in Tashkent, with a print run of 200,000 copies.
The first volumes of the 100-volume series feature works by poets, thinkers, and scholars such as Mahmud al-Kashgari, Akhmed Iugineki, Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, Suleiman Bakyrgani, Makhtumkuli, and others.
Ten out of the 100 volumes are dedicated to Kazakh literature, starting with the works of Abai and Zhambyl. The works of M. Auezov, O. Suleimenov, M. Shakhanov, S. Mukhanov, G. Musrepov, and A. Kekilbayev have been published in separate volumes.
The collection also features the works of A. Baytursynov, B. Maylin, Sh. Kudaiberdiev, M. Dulatov, Zh. Aymatov, M. Zhumbayev, S. Seyfullin, I. Jansugurov, B. Maylin, S. Donentayev, Sh. Imanbaeva, A. Sarsenbaev, A. Tokmagambetov, G. Ormanov, D. Abilov, Zh. Sayin, Zh. Moldagaliev, Kh. Yergalieva, K. Amanzholov, S. Maulenov, K. Salykov, F. Ongarsynova, M. Makataev, T. Moldagaliev, M. Shakhanov, K. Akhmetova, N. Orazalin, G. Mustafa, B. Momyshuly, T. Alimkulov, B. Sokpakbaev, A. Nurpeisov, Sh. Murtaza, M. Magauin, S. Zhunusov, O. Bokey, R. Seysenbay, M. Kabambay, and others, translated into Uzbek.
The library collection of the Presidential Center of the DPA of the Republic of Kazakhstan received books such as: "Kasiretti kantar. President Tokaev zhane antka adaldyk" (L. Mlechin), "Alash democracy. On the way to building a civilized society" (in Kazakh, Russian, R. Akmaganbet), "Alashorda Askeri" (B. Abdigaliuly), "Alash Zangerleri" (A. Kuspan), " Dala Tarikhy: Eurasia tarihyndagy Shyngyskhan memleketinin phenomeni" (S. Akimbekov), "Liberalism zhane ogan aitylgan son" (Fukuyama Francis).
