On September 22, as part of the scientific and educational program "Museum and Children (an ABC guide for the youngest)," staff from the Presidential Center of the Administrative Affairs Department of the Republic of Kazakhstan conducted an off-site interactive lesson for children from the capital's Kindergarten No. 14 "AqbOpe."
The main goal of the event was to introduce preschoolers to the wonderful world of museums, develop their cognitive interest, and foster an appreciation for the cultural and historical values of Kazakhstan from an early age.
The museum lesson was held in an engaging game format and was dedicated to the letter "M." During the interactive discussion, the children learned what a museum is, why antiques are collected and preserved, and became acquainted with key concepts of museum studies.
Demonstrating unique museum exhibits sparked special interest among the children. The preschoolers were able to not only see but also touch some items from the collections, which helped them better understand the role of historical heritage.
The lesson program also included thematic riddles, quizzes, and educational games, in which the kindergarten children took an active part.
