The festive event "Prosper, Astana!" was held at the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan to celebrate Capital Day. The staff and children of the capital's Kindergarten No. 53 "Merey" presented a large-scale concert program.
The program opened with a video presentation highlighting the achievements of Kindergarten No. 53 "Merey." The highlight of the celebration was a unique theatrical performance "Pride of Kazakhstan."
In the story, the young performers, together with their teachers, showed the audience an interactive news program, where the country's main national brands and symbols came to life: the dombra—the embodiment of the nation's musical soul; the bauyrsak, kymyz, and kyurt—symbols of Kazakh hospitality; asyk—a symbol of national games and the continuity of generations; and the Baiterek and golden eagle—state symbols of greatness and independence. During the fairytale journey, the characters traveled to the capital to prove that each of them is an integral part of the cultural code of sovereign Kazakhstan.
Children from the senior groups demonstrated a high level of skill across a wide range of genres. The audience warmly applauded the vocal, poetic, and instrumental performances, including the patriotic songs "Rukh" and "Tugan Zher," the heartfelt dance "Akku" performed by the group "Arai," and the dynamic dance "Men Kazaktyn Ulymyn!" The group "Ademі-ay" gave a virtuoso performance of the kyuis "Ata Tolgauy" by N. Tlendiev and "Astana Duman" by A. Duisenov, performed by the children's orchestras of the groups "Karlygash" and "Ademі-ay."
A special atmosphere was created by young reciters who performed poems from memory dedicated to the architecture of Astana, the country's independence, and the legacy of their ancestors.
The concert concluded with a grand finale performance of the legendary song "Atameken" (music by E. Hasangaliyev, lyrics by K. Myrza Ali), in which all the performers and teachers took part.
At the end of the celebration, Advisor to the Director of the Presidential Center Serik Sydykov thanked the kindergarten staff and the children for the incredible emotions and the truly festive atmosphere.
"The sincerity and enthusiasm with which the children performed are a vivid manifestation of the genuine patriotism that is nurtured in our hearts from a very early age. Love for one's native land, respect for traditions, and pride in one's capital reflect the strength of our cultural code. Looking at this inspired younger generation, we can have absolute confidence in our country's future. It is these children, raised on national values, who will protect and lead independent Kazakhstan forward," he noted, congratulating everyone present on the upcoming Capital Day.
