On June 3, ahead of the Day of State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Presidential Center became a venue for a large-scale patriotic lesson. More than 100 students from the summer camp of School-Lyceum No. 79 in the capital visited the Center. The highlight of their visit was participation in the educational lecture titled “State Symbols of Kazakhstan.”

The main purpose of the event was to deepen students’ knowledge of the state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan, foster a strong sense of civic identity, and cultivate pride in their country and genuine patriotism.

The thematic lecture was conducted in an interactive format adapted for young audiences. The lecturer provided a detailed overview of the history behind the creation and adoption of the country’s principal heraldic symbols. Special attention was given to explaining the profound philosophy embodied in each element: the symbolism of the golden sun, the soaring steppe eagle, and the vertical stripe with the national ornament as representations of peace, freedom, and eternity; the sacred significance of the shanyrak as a symbol of a common home for all ethnic groups of Kazakhstan; the winged tulpar horses and the five-pointed star symbolizing aspirations for a bright future; as well as the poetic imagery contained in the National Anthem, which celebrates the courage of ancestors, the richness of the native land, and the pursuit of unity.

Particular emphasis was also placed on the importance of understanding the significance of state symbols for every citizen of Kazakhstan and treating them with respect. The lecturer stressed that respect for the Flag, the Coat of Arms, and the National Anthem is the foremost hallmark of a true patriot, a responsible citizen, and a person who loves their homeland.

As part of the visit, the students also took part in a brief guided tour of the Presidential Center’s museum exhibitions. The main highlight of the tour was the hall dedicated to Kazakhstan’s state symbols. There, the children had the opportunity to see official examples of the State Emblem and Flag, as well as ознакомиться with archival documents and the first decrees that affirmed the sovereignty of the republic. These exhibits served as a vivid visual complement to the lecture they had attended.
