The ceremonial opening of the cultural and educational project "Loyalty to Ancestral Traditions" of the Presidential Center of the DPA RK took place at the Koyandy village school-lyceum in the Tselinograd district of Akmola Oblast. The project commemorates the 35th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence.

Over the years of independence, Kazakhstan has developed dynamically and transformed into a modern state, confidently establishing its place on the global stage. In this context, this anniversary date takes on special significance, strengthening national identity and emphasizing the importance of respecting the past while confidently looking to the future.

This project aims to strengthen national values, preserve historical memory, and promote the rich heritage of our ancestors. Its mission is to foster a modern, progressive worldview in young people by blending tradition with advances in science and technology. With 2026 declared the Year of Digitalization and AI, the project is especially relevant, emphasizing knowledge, innovation, and historical continuity in the country's development.

This year, the Koyandy village school-lyceum was selected as the project site, marking a new phase in the region's cultural and educational initiatives.

"Today's event is not just a planned event, but an important spiritual step to strengthen generational continuity and revive the national spirit. The project, part of the 35th anniversary celebrations of Kazakhstan's independence, aims to renew historical memory and integrate national values with modern needs. Its relevance is underscored by the Head of State's declaration of 2026 as the Year of Digitalization and AI. 'We are convinced that this opens new horizons for the country's strategic development and enables us to become an integral part of technological civilization,' said Botagoz Kaipova, Deputy Director of the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in her welcoming remarks.

The grand opening featured remarks by Daryn Sabyrgali, Akim of the Tselinograd District.

Following the grand opening, the program will include a traveling exhibition, "A Man of Honor: The Intersection of Knowledge and Intellect," featuring over 100 unique exhibits, books, and newspaper materials from the Presidential Center's collection. The exhibition highlights key historical events and the educational journeys of individuals who contributed significantly to the spiritual and scientific development of the Kazakh people.

Additionally, thematic excursions for students are planned, focusing on the heroism of WWII participants, key historical events of that era, and the formation and development of Kazakhstan's Armed Forces.

A seminar and training session, "Kazakhstan in a New Reality: Youth in an Era of Change," was held for high school students, focusing on current national development and the role of youth in these changes.

About 300 students from the school-lyceum participated in the events.

The "Loyalty to Ancestral Traditions" project represents an important step in strengthening society's spiritual foundations, developing historical awareness among youth, and promoting national values in a modern format.
