On April 17, a guest lecture on the national symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held for students of School-Gymnasium No. 86.
Gulzhan Ramazanova, Leading Researcher at the Presidential Center, provided an in-depth analysis of the history of the flag, coat of arms, and anthem, emphasizing their role as a link between the nation's past and future. Particular attention was paid to archival footage of the ceremonial transfer of state emblems from Almaty to Akmola in 1997, providing students with a clear understanding of the historical continuity of state symbols.
The lecture explored the symbolism of each element in detail. Students also learned about the technical aspects of production—the stages of casting the coat of arms and printing the flag—and the importance of adhering to state standards.
The final part of the meeting was devoted to the history of the anthem and the rules for using national symbols in accordance with the 2007 Constitutional Law. Students learned about the changes made to the lyrics of the song "My Kazakhstan" in 2006 to establish it as the official national anthem.
Such meetings instill patriotism and respect for national symbols in young people, helping them understand their role in Kazakhstan's future and encouraging them to become responsible citizens.
