An ABC Guide to the World of Museums

On March 27, as part of the scientific and educational project of the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, "Museum and Children (an ABC Guide for the Little Ones)," a visiting museum lesson focused on the letter "m" was conducted at Yerkezhan Kindergarten No. 90 in Astana.

The event began with a "Friendship Relay," which encouraged the children to engage in learning. Participants solved riddles about mothers, raspberries, honey, and bears, gradually transitioning to the session's central theme: the word "museum." During the discussion, the children explored the purpose of museums, their significance in preserving history, and were introduced to the activities of the Presidential Center.

The display of authentic objects from the museum's collections attracted significant interest among the children. Unique exhibits beginning with the letter "M" were presented, including a ball signed by Boris Becker, an artistic collage composed of stamps, and medals and coins from the Presidential Center Museum's collection. Through these objects, the children learned the definitions of "exhibit" and "collection."

The themed game "Complete the Collection" reinforced this knowledge and allowed each child to demonstrate creativity.

The project aims not only to reinforce alphabet knowledge and expand vocabulary, but also to cultivate young children's interest in the nation's cultural and historical heritage.
