On March 12, the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a meeting in the "Generation of Independence: Value Guidelines and Prospects" series. The event, marking the 35th anniversary of the country's independence, brought together students from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.
Asylzhan Kazi, founder of the Espresso Day coffee shop chain, served as the keynote speaker. His success story exemplifies Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s statement that Kazakhstan’s future depends on young people, whose energy, knowledge, and patriotism are vital to the country’s success.
Kazi shared his professional journey with the students. After earning a degree in International Law from Eurasian National University, he worked as a lawyer for nine years, gaining extensive legal and corporate experience. In 2020, he launched his own coffee brand and continues to expand his business with new ideas and projects.
The discussion covered essential character traits and business skills for success, along with criteria for building a sustainable business. Kazi offered practical advice on overcoming challenges at the start of an entrepreneurial career. He emphasized that personal responsibility, creativity, and active civic engagement are fundamental to a strong Kazakhstan.
