On February 10, the Presidential Center of the DPA RK organized a lecture for students at the Astana Polytechnic College of Higher Education on the topic of "Modern Environmental Issues: Current Status and Solutions."

The lecture covered major environmental challenges, including global warming, ozone depletion, and resource depletion, which threaten the Earth's ecosystem. It highlighted data indicating that Kazakhstan, situated in central Eurasia and far from the oceans, is warming faster than the global average. Along with rising annual temperatures, the frequency of extreme natural events is also increasing. In response, Kazakhstan is developing a National Climate Change Adaptation Plan.

The national campaign "Taza Kazakhstan" generated considerable discussion. During the 5th National Kurultai, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev underscored that "Taza Kazakhstan" constitutes a fundamental aspect of national ideology. He stated, "Taza Kazakhstan" is not a catchy slogan or a one-off campaign; it is the result of daily, patient work. It is crucial to deeply instill this important idea in young people's minds. Only then will we become a truly civilized and progressive country," the Head of State said.
