The opening ceremony for the exhibition "Thread Connecting Times" by renowned Kazakhstani jeweler, artist, restorer, and collector Berik Alibay will be held on December 10 at 3:00 PM at the Presidential Center of the DPA RK. The exhibition is dedicated to Kazakhstan's Independence Day.
The event aims to promote interest and respect for the national art of jewelry and to demonstrate its cultural significance. A key objective is to enhance the prestige of the jewelry profession and foster appreciation for artisans' roles in preserving cultural traditions.
The exhibition will showcase jewelry, clothing, household items, and artworks created by Berik Alibay, along with unique jewelry pieces he has collected over several decades.
More than 250 silver jewelry pieces will be presented, highlighting the symbolism of their patterns, their semantic content, and the sacred and aesthetic qualities of these works.
Each piece reflects the history of the people and is a testament to the continuity of generations. The exhibition reveals the special power and purity of silver, as well as its important role in national culture. The artist's jewelry and artwork are distinguished by a unique style that combines traditional Kazakh motifs with contemporary design solutions.
The artist's works are included in museum and private collections in China, Japan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Germany, England, Spain, the Sultanate of Oman, Jordan, the CIS countries, and other locations.
