"Ecology through the Eyes of Kazakhstanis": Presentation of Study Results Dedicated to the 'Taza Kazakhstan' Campaign in Astana

On 25 September 2025 at 10:00 AM, to mark the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies and ahead of the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP30), the Presidential Centre of the DPA RK and the United Nations Development Program in Kazakhstan will present the results of the study 'Ecology through the Eyes of Kazakhstanis.' The event will also feature an expert panel to discuss recommendations and an award ceremony for the 'Climate: Countdown' competition winners.

The event will highlight the best journalistic pieces from print media that emphasize the critical role of journalists in raising public awareness on the effects of climate change and biodiversity loss, along with opportunities for adaptation and mitigation in Kazakhstan.

This project aligns with the national campaign 'Taza Kazakhstan,' initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. It aims to unite government and society in advancing the environmental agenda and principles of sustainable development. The project also highlights the crucial role of the media in covering climate issues, promoting environmental awareness, and motivating society towards a climate-resilient future.

The event will be attended by representatives from the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Japan, and the European Union to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
