




A hands-on workshop focused on the application of artificial intelligence in media took place at the Presidential Center of the DPA RK.
In line with the tasks outlined in the President’s Address to the Nation, "Kazakhstan in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Current Challenges and Solutions Through Digital Transformation," dated September 8, 2025 - around 50 students from Astana International University joined digital journalist and PR expert Rufina Torpishcheva for an interactive guest lecture, "Neural Networks in PR Communications."
This masterclass continues a series of events made possible by a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Presidential Center and Astana International University, supporting the national strategy to integrate AI technologies into sectors such as education and media communications.
The Presidential Address highlights the development of AI as a strategic priority for enhancing Kazakhstan’s global competitiveness.
Participants acquired practical knowledge in creating and editing media content using artificial intelligence tools, as well as in analyzing large-scale social media data. The session also included discussions on the ethical considerations associated with neural network applications in journalism and public relations.
About the speaker: Rufina Torpishcheva is a graduate of P. Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia and Michigan State University (USA). She is a member of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan, a digital journalist, senior lecturer at Astana IT University, expert in PR and communications, and the founder of JÜZ PAİYZ MEDIA. She has 15 years of experience in PR and GR. |
