The Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty and the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and with the support of the National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ISESCO on May 16, 2025 at 2 p.m. will hold a training seminar titled “The Future of Education: Foresight and Artificial Intelligence in the Era of Digital Transformation”, aimed at enhancing skills in futures literacy and foresight among teachers of higher educational institutions.
The aim of the event is to increase the readiness of teachers to implement innovative approaches in digital transformation of education. Special attention will be paid to the ethical aspects of the use of AI in pedagogical practice, as well as the formation of skills for working with the future in accordance with the UNESCO Recommendation on the ethics of AI and the objectives of the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (2024-2033).
Expected results: the following results are expected from the training:
– Raising participants' awareness of UNESCO’s approaches to future literacy and AI ethics in education.
– The development of basic skills and analysis skills for future scenarios among teachers of higher education institutions.
– Strengthening the capacity of the academic environment to integrate innovative and ethically sound technologies into the educational process.
Guest lecturer: Shevchenko E.V. - director of the Center for Earth, Space and Communications Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The training will be attended by representatives of state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, professors and teachers of national and regional universities of Kazakhstan.
