This year, this wonderful holiday coincided with the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan - an organization that played a key role in uniting our fellow citizens of different nationalities, cultures and traditions around of all-Kazakhstan valuesand the formation of an atmosphere of mutual respect, civic responsibility and unity of our people.
Agree that sounds a bit puffy and capricious. But behind these formulations is our daily life, when we warmly congratulate each other with Kurban Ait and Christmas, when on the festive table are next to the baursaki and Easter Kulish, when we lovingly sing Kazakh, Russian, Tatar songs, when in distant Germany our former compatriots, long-departed from Kazakhstan, raise the flag of Kazakhstan and gather behind traditional Kazakh dastarkhans.
It is such ordinary "little things" that allow us to fully realize and feel that our friendship is not a watchword, but an integral and intimate part of our Kazakh soul and our existence.
Our unity and concord are the most precious of our assets, along with independence. Each of us should always remember this and protect it as the apple of our eye.
