The Presidential Center: First in Kazakhstan to Celebrate Nauryz Meiramy

On March 14 at 11.00 a.m. in the Presidential Centre of DPA RK, the grand opening of the week of interactive excursions, "Nauryz. Tanym. Tarikh," will be held. Symbolically, 14 March is the beginning of the celebration of Nauryz Meiramy – Kórisu Kúní (Day of Meeting).

More than 100 guests are expected to attend, including cultural figures, faculty members and students from universities in the capital, representatives of government agencies, visitors from the Active Longevity Centers of Astana, and members of the city's Guide Club.

This year, the celebration takes on a new scale in the form of "Nauryznama" – ten days filled with cultural and spiritual events.

The Kórisu Kúní celebration symbolizes unity and good intentions, thus the event will take place in a warm and congenial atmosphere. The artists of ‘Zhastar’ theatre, the State Academic Philharmonic named after Yerkegali Rakhmadiev and talented students of School of Arts No. 1 named after Tattimbet, will create the festive mood. This exciting journey through time will allow everyone to touch the origins of the national culture and understand the deep meaning of the Nauryz holiday.

Visitors to the Presidential Center will be able to enjoy a book exhibition, guided excursions, and thematic tours, as well as tours within the project "One Exhibit’s Story," introducing them to traditional Kazakh clothing and musical instruments.

It is worth noting that on March 18, the Presidential Center will hold a thematic tour titled 'Dombra: The Invaluable Heritage of the People,' during which guests will learn about the sacred significance of the Kazakh musical instrument. Secrets will be revealed by dombra craftsman Bauyrzhan Ardaquly and virtuoso dombra player, kyuishi, and honored figure of Kazakhstan, Anar Muzdakhanova.

On March 20, a tour titled "Golden Ornament of History," dedicated to the Kazakh women's national costume will take place. Visitors will witness a unique reconstruction of the beshmet of the Khan’s wife Fatima and learn how the costume reflected the status and worldview of Kazakh women from past centuries.

We invite everyone to join the festive week "Nauryz. Tanym. Tarikh" and discover the rich cultural heritage of the Kazakh people, immerse in traditions, and feel the spirit of the great Nauryz holiday!
