A museum lesson on "Kazakh Musical Art" was held at the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan for students from the capital's School-Lyceum No. 85, named after Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
In the museum's interactive hall, during the "Kazakh Musical Art" lesson, the students not only explored the history of Kazakh stringed national instruments but also had the opportunity to listen to the sounds of the dombra, kobyz, and zhetigen. They closely examined their structure and even held them in their hands. The students also expressed interest in an ancient clay wind instrument, the sazsyrnai, which historians recently discovered during excavations at the ancient city of Otyrar.
Throughout the lesson, the participants also learned about the lives and creative legacies of prominent Kazakh musicians and composers, listened to legends about Korkyt Ata, recalled his proverbs, engaged in discussions, and answered the lecturer’s questions.
To conclude the lesson, student Aruzhan Imanbaeva from School-Lyceum No. 85 performed the kyui "Kok tu".
