
On February 21, 2025, at 10:00, the first forum of capital guides and tour guides will be held in the Presidential Center of the Department of Presidential Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This event is organized jointly with the Akimat of Astana, Astana Development Center LLP, Astana Guides Club, Union of Guides and Tour Guides of Kazakhstan, and NC Kazakh Tourism JSC.
The forum is dedicated to International Tour Guides Day, which is celebrated on February 21.
In his Address to the People of Kazakhstan dated September 2, 2024, the Head of State K.K. Tokayev, emphasized the importance of developing sustainable tourism and instructed to intensify efforts to promote it.
At the extended government meeting held on January 28, 2025, the government was instructed to make the tourism industry one of the most important areas that give a new impetus to economic growth, increase investment attractiveness, develop infrastructure, and train highly qualified specialists providing high-quality tourism services.
The Presidential Center of the DPA RK, which organized the fishbowl discussion platform in 2024, dedicated to discussing current challenges and prospects for the development of sustainable tourism in the country, will this time gather guides and tour guides who are at the forefront of the tourism industry and directly interact with tourists.
During the Forum, tourism representatives from the capital will present reports on pressing issues in excursion services. Topics will include the professional training of capital guides and tour leaders, areas of cooperation, benefits provided by public organizations and associations, financial operations, and taxation.
About 80 capital and regional representatives of excursion activities will attend the event.
