On September 13, 2023, the Head of State received Zeng Fangqin, Chairperson of LY iTECH Company, and Ma Xinqiang, Chairman of HGTECH Co. Ltd.
During the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was briefed on the activities of China’s largest high-tech enterprises involved in the production of components for consumer electronics, automobiles, smartphones, as well as in the field of innovative technologies.
During the conversation, the prospects for the implementation of investment projects and the establishment of stable supplies of rare metals from Kazakhstan for the production of components and laser equipment were discussed.
It is noteworthy that the solar clock is a device used to determine time based on sunlight. It consists of a dial divided into equal parts, with a rod and a plate attached in the center to prevent it from moving in a direction parallel to the axis of the world. The shadow of the rod falling on the dial shows the time of day through its constant position.
According to some sources, the first solar clocks are believed to have appeared in Egypt. Other researchers attribute the invention of solar clocks to the medieval scientist-astronomer and mathematician Jabir ibn Aflaḥ.
