The commemorative medal was presented to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev by the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron.
It is worth noting that on November 1, 2023, Emmanuel Macron arrived in Kazakhstan for his first official visit, at the invitation of the Head of our State.
Today, France is one of Kazakhstan’s largest trading partners and an important ally within the European Union.
Over the past two years, bilateral trade has increased by 30%, reaching a remarkable volume of over 4 billion US dollars. Moreover, France has invested more than 20 billion US dollars into Kazakhstan's economy, with over 170 French companies successfully operating in the country.
Currently, joint Kazakhstan-French projects span various sectors, including energy, nuclear industry, mining, chemicals, engineering, construction, aerospace, and pharmaceuticals.
Our country is France’s key partner in Central Asia, particularly in terms of trade, as about 90% of all French trade with the region is conducted with Kazakhstan.
