On December 10, at 10:00, in the Presidential Center of the DPA of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the opening of the regional scientific and practical conference of schoolchildren "Astana: Past, Present, Future", will take place.
The event is organized by the Presidential Center of the DPA of the Republic of Kazakhstan in collaboration with the Center for the Identification and Support of Gifted Children and Talented Youth "Astana Daryny," to foster patriotism, historical awareness, tolerance, respect for the history of Kazakhstan, and developing an interest in studying the cultural and historical heritage of the homeland.
During the conference, in sectional sessions, students of grades 7-9 of educational institutions of Astana and Akmola region will present their work in the following areas:
• History and cultural heritage of Astana (history of the city and region until 1991);
• Astana is the capital of independent Kazakhstan;
• Astana of the future.
The plenary session will be held with the participation of the Deputy Director of the Presidential Center of the DPA of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik SYDYKOV, Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Pavel KAZANTSEV, Chairman of the Committee for Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanybek ZHUMASHEV, Commissioner for Children's Rights in Astana Asima BIMENDINA, Head of the Education Department of Astana Kasymkhan SENGAZYEV, Director of the Center for Identification and Support of Gifted Children and Talented Youth "Astana Daryny" Zhanar BEYSENBAYEVA. Honorary Architect of the Republic of Kazakhstan, PhD in Architecture Amanzhol CHIKANAEV will deliver a report on "The General Plan of Astana and the Ideology of Urban Development in the 21st Century", Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of Astana IT University Saule MAMYTOVA will present a report on "Astana - a Cultural and Symbolic Hub of Collective Memory and National Identity", Chairperson of the Republican Public Association "United Children's and Youth Organization "Zhas Ulan" Dinara SADVAKASOVA will speak on the topic "Formation of Environmental Culture Among the Youth of Astana", President of the Union of Guides, Tour Guides of Kazakhstan, Director of the National Tour Operator "Arman-Tour" Saltanat ABZHANOVA will talk about problems, ways to solve them and prospects for excursion activities in Astana.
