






A seminar titled "The Archive and Library Collections of the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Digital Age" was held at the Presidential Center of the Department of Presidential Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Professors, students, and library staff from the Capital College of Service and Tourism in Astana attended the event, with approximately 30 participants in total.
During the seminar, the activities of the Presidential Center of Kazakhstan were presented. Participants were introduced to the electronic resources of the organization's archival and library collections. Additionally, a book exhibition titled "New Books – New Knowledge" was showcased, featuring new editions presented by heads of state to President K.K. Tokayev as part of official events.
At the conclusion of the event, participants were given a tour of the Museum of the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

These collections feature some of the greatest gems of both domestic and world literature, as well as books presented by Kazakhstani and global leaders, along with distinguished personalities.
The Center's library is equipped with a state-of-the-art automated library and information system (ABIS) called YORDAM. The system’s core component is an electronic catalog (EC) with a wide range of functions.
The Library of the Presidential Center of Kazakhstan is outfitted with the advanced YORDAM automated library and information system, which supports the latest library technologies implemented in leading global library organizations. These technologies include corporate cataloging, maintaining electronic resource catalogs, providing open access to electronic catalogs, full-text collections, and more.
Scholars and young researchers specializing in history, philosophy, and political science can access these books in the Library's reading room, which features 14 workstations equipped with modern computer equipment and internet access. Library services are free of charge and always available to readers.
The archival collection of the Presidential Center of Kazakhstan holds a documentary collection of more than 160,000 units of documentation. This collection consists of documents related to the history of independent Kazakhstan, the establishment of the presidency, and the cultural heritage of the Kazakh people. The document types include paper documents, photographic materials, and audio-visual records.
The Presidential Center also operates the automated information system "Private Archive," which streamlines archival work related to the reception, storage, and use of documents.
