History Lesson at the Museum History Lesson at the Museum

On November 26, a museum lesson titled "The Institute of Batyrship: Traditions, Status, and Weaponry" was held for the students of one of the 9th-grade classes of the capital's School-Lyceum No. 89 named after Dulat Babatayuly at the Presidential Center of the DPA RK.

During the fascinating lesson, held in the museum hall “Kazakhstan in the world community”, schoolchildren got acquainted with the concept of “bes karu” - five types of weapons of Kazakh batyr: saber, sword, spear, spade, bow, mace, battle axe. The students also learned about the tradition of gifting weapons and reinforced their knowledge about the stages of Kazakhstan's independence and the formation of the country's Armed Forces.

The students took great interest in examining the collection of weapons displayed in the exhibition and familiarized themselves with famous schools of weapon craftsmanship. Some of the exhibits were even available for the students to touch and hold.
