The Presidential Center of the Presidential Affairs Department of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a thematic excursion for pensioners from the Active Longevity Center of the Almaty district of Astana and students of colleges and universities of the capital within the framework of the celebration of Kazakhstan's National Currency Day.
During the tours, participants had a unique opportunity to trace the history of currency circulation in Kazakhstan, with particular focus on the significance of the introduction of the tenge as an important symbol of national sovereignty.
Representatives of the older generation, many of whom witnessed key historical events, took a genuine interest in examining the first series of tenge banknotes, appreciating their artistic and cultural characteristics. Meanwhile, the younger generation explored the design and series of tenge banknotes issued since 1993, which allowed them to gain a fresh perspective on the role of the national currency in forming an independent state.
The tours were organized to bring together representatives of different generations, symbolizing the values of Kazakh culture based on respect and continuity. This format of the tours allowed young people to hear firsthand accounts of the introduction of the tenge. At the same time, the older generation was able to share their experiences and knowledge, fostering an atmosphere of mutual understanding and strengthening intergenerational ties.
It is worth noting that from November 12 to 15 of this year, the Presidential Center of the DPA RK hosted a series of thematic tours in honour of Kazakhstan's National Currency Day, with approximately 300 visitors in total.
The Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan expresses its sincere gratitude to all participants, emphasizing the importance of such tours in reinforcing cultural values based on respect and recognition of the role of older generations.
