On October 4, 2024, at 15.00 in the Presidential Centre of the Department of Presidential Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be held the awarding ceremony of the winners of the annual literary contest ‘VIII Abay Readings’, dedicated to the works of the great Kazakh poet, thinker, founder of Kazakh classical written literature Abay Kunanbayev.
The event will be attended by deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the "Abay Academy" Research Institute at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, public associations, participants of the contest, teachers and students of schools in the capital.
300 people from all over the country took part in the competition, which is aimed at popularizing the literary legacy of Abay, the formation of a reading culture, and the literary taste of the youth of Kazakhstan. The winners will be awarded special diplomas and memorable gifts.
