In 2023, in Astana, Honored Master of Sports of Kazakhstan, participant of the 2016 Olympic Games in amateur boxing, World Champion 2013, Asian Champion 2013-2014, professional boxing champion in middleweight WBO Global and WBC Continental Americas, WBC BO and IBF Champion Zhanibek Alimkhanuly presented boxing gloves to the President of Kazakhstan K.K.Tokayev as a gift.
The gloves are blue and yellow in color. On the gloves there is an image of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the inscription “Kassym-Jomart Tokayev”. On the thumb of the glove there is a map of Kazakhstan, there are inscriptions: “Thank you for your support!”, “Janibek Alimkhanuly WBO World Middleweight Champion”.
It should be noted that last year, in the fight for the world champion title under versions WBO and IBF, Janibek Alimkhanuly defeated Vincenzo Gualtieri Ali from Germany, knocking out his opponent. The fight ended in the 6th round. This was the first defeat of the German athlete in his professional career. Our boxer dedicated his victory to the people of Kazakhstan.
