On September 9, 2024, at 14:00, the International Conference "Sport as a Tool for Social Integration of Youth: Lessons of Nomadic Culture" will be held in the Presidential Center of the Department of Presidential Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan as part of the V World Nomad Games.
The event was organized by the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the UNESCO Almaty Regional Office with the support of the Kazakhstan National Federation of Clubs for UNESCO, the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the UN Women.
The purpose of the conference is to create a platform for the exchange of views and experiences among representatives of government agencies, the academic community, civil society and international organizations.
The main focus will be on discussing the role of sports and nomadic culture traditions in the social integration of youth.
During the meeting, participants will be able to discuss how sports contribute to sustainable development, strengthening social unity and creating an inclusive society. This dialogue is intended to highlight the importance of active actions and joint efforts in the field of youth development through sports, as well as to promote closer interaction between all stakeholders in promoting these values.
The main speakers of the conference will be the Director of the UNESCO Almaty Regional Office, UNESCO representative in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan Pirich Amir Fazlievich; President of the 42nd session of the UNESCO General Conference Mikulescu Simona-Mirela; Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of the World Federation of Clubs and Associations for UNESCO Akchulakov Bolat Uralovich.
In addition, the event will be attended by the silver medallist of the Summer Olympic Games in Paris Nariman Kurbanov, Vice-President of the NOC of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 2012 Olympic champion Serik Sapiyev, champion of the Olympic Games in London, silver medallist of the Olympic Games in Beijing and bronze medallist of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in triple jump Olga Rypakova.
