Today, on August 28 this year, a festive lesson "Menin Otanym – Kazakhstan" for future first-graders of the gymnasium School No. 96 in Astana, dedicated to the Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Day of Knowledge, was held at the Presidential Center of the President’s affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In total, more than 30 children took part in this event.
The festive lesson was aimed at forming and educating the younger generation of a sense of patriotism, love for their native country, as well as generalizing and systematizing children's knowledge about Kazakhstan, forming a respectful attitude towards the state symbols of the republic.
"Today we witnessed how our young participants demonstrated their talents, creative performances, whether they were poems, songs or artistic performances. In one of his speeches, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted: "The harmonious development and happy childhood of the younger generation is our national duty. In this direction, the Presidential Center constantly interacts with educational institutions of the capital, conducting joint educational and patriotic events", - Deputy Director of the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Sydykov noted in his welcoming speech.
During the event, future schoolchildren were able to familiarize themselves with the norms of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the history of their native country.
In addition, the participants of the festive lesson demonstrated their knowledge and talents, told poems and proverbs about Kazakhstan, performed songs and showed original choreographic performances.
"For our children who are just crossing the threshold of school, participation in such a festive event is very important and useful. I am sure this will give them a great start and a desire to study as well as possible in order to become a reliable support and pride of the whole country in the future", - Venera Saparova, the grandmother of one of the future students, shared her impressions.
It is worth noting that the first bell sounded for the kids, symbolizing the beginning of a new and important stage in their lives.
Following the results of the festive event, the Presidential Center, together with "AG TECH" LLP, presented memorable gifts and souvenirs to the young participants in memory of the first lesson, and letters of thanks to the teachers of the gymnasium school.
For reference: according to the information of the metropolitan Department of Education, 187 schools will be operating in Astana at the beginning of the academic year.
In the new 2024-2025 academic year, it is planned to enroll about 28 thousand children in the first grade of secondary schools.
In addition, it will provide material and financial assistance to socially vulnerable categories of schoolchildren (purchase of clothes, shoes and stationery). This work will cover a total of 14.5 thousand children.
