"Laudate Deum" ("Praise God") is an apostolic address that is a continuation of Pope Francis' 2015 encyclical Laudato Si.
It consists of 73 paragraphs and refers to the UN Climate Summit COP28, which was held in Dubai (UAE) in the fall of 2023.
Through a new message, the Holy Father appeals to the world community for shared responsibility in the face of the climate crisis, arguing that the world is "splitting apart and may be on the way to rupture." This is one of the main challenges that society must respond to, primarily because the effects of climate change affect the most vulnerable inhabitants of the planet.
This edition was presented to President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during his meeting with Pope Francis during his official visit to the Vatican on January 19, 2024.
Currently, "Laudate Deum" is stored in the library fund of the Presidential Center of the President’s affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the section "Exclusive books".
