The country's first Kazakh-English and English-Kazakh dictionary. More than 50 experienced linguists worked for 4 years on the publication of the dictionary, which received official permission from the world-famous Oxford University Press and was developed in accordance with the methodology and technology of the Oxford English Dictionary.
The first edition of the Oxford Qazaq Dictionary contains more than 60 thousand words and 1300 pages. The circulation of the dictionary is 10,000 copies. It takes into account the peculiarities of the modern lexicon of the Kazakh and English languages, including news from the field of modern culture, information technology, medicine, economics, finance and trade.
The translation of each word contains sentences from phrases and expressions, supplemented by practical examples, proverbs and sayings used in everyday life between different social groups.
Such an extensive dictionary is very helpful for language learners as well as linguists in general as a tool to aid in language acquisition.
