
"Kasakki Tartari", one of the most beautiful maps of the Kazakh State, was created in the golden age of Flemish painting and Dutch cartography.
The colorful work, painted by the royal cartographer of the Netherlands Frederik de Wit, depicts the western and eastern hemispheres, as well as the north and south poles of the Earth. Fragments of mythological creatures are depicted along the edge.
This map was presented to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K.Tokayev by the author of the book, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, Director of the Institute of Modern Studies of the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University Mukhit-Ardager Sydyknazarov on March 6, 2023.
It is also included in the book of M-A. Sydyknazarov "Continuous statehood of Kazakhstan in the flow of history. The Kazakh state on European and American maps of the XVI-XIX centuries", which covers the period from 1562 to 1879 and includes 130 maps.
