Today, employees of the Presidential Center of the Department of Presidential Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a visiting museum lecture for students of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, timed to the National Day of the Dombra.
The lecture "Kazakh Musical Art" aims to popularize and increase participants' interest in national culture and history.
During the lesson, the lecturer described in detail the types, structures, and methods of manufacturing Kazakh national musical instruments—kobyz, dombra, and zhetygen.
Besides, the participants learned about legends connected with their origin. The edifications of Korkytata, poems by Mukagali Makataev and Kadyr Myrzaliev about dombra, and musical works by Dauletkerey Shygaiuly, Dina Nurpeisova, Amre Kashaubaev, and Nurgisa Tlendiev, as well as information about the lives and works of these musicians, were presented.
