On State Symbols Day, the Presidential Center for the Department of the Presidential Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a visiting thematic lecture for students of the College of Management, Business and Education in Astana.
During the lecture, the audience was able to brush up on their understanding of the background of the national Flag, Emblem, and Anthem—all of which represent Kazakhstan's independence to the outside world. The lecturer elaborated on each heraldic sign of the Flag and Emblem and their definite ideological sense and analyzed the text of the Anthem.
For illustration, students were shown slides with an overview of the elements of national symbols, as well as historical documents from the museum and archive of the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan. With genuine interest, the young people watched a video about the production of state symbols.
The lecture ended with singing the national anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The lecturer encouraged the listeners to respect the state symbols.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan» was signed on June 4, 1992. In our nation's history, this day has come to represent the birth of new state symbolism, including the Flag, Emblem, and Anthem. These symbols vividly portray the continuity between Kazakhstan's past, present, and future as an independent nation.
