The Presidential Center of the DPA of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a museum lesson "Kazakh Musical Art" for students of the capital's school-gymnasium №51 named after Mustafa Shokay.

The participants touched the world of Kazakh national music through acquaintance with kobyz, dombra and zhetigen, and their sound. In addition, the children learned about the famous Kazakh composers Dauletkerey Shygaiuly, Kurmangazy Sagyrbayuly, Dina Nurpeisova and others, familiarized themselves with their kyuis "Konyr", "Zheldirme", "Bulbul", "Baizhuma", "Aksak kiik".

At the end of the lesson, fifth-grader Fariza Zhumat performed "Alash Amanaty" kyui.

"During the lesson, students learned about the history of creation, structure and features of Kazakh national instruments. Children also got acquainted with the life and creativity of famous musicians who contributed to the wide dissemination and popularization of these instruments. Such museum classes are of great importance for increasing the interest of the young generation to national art", - said Gulzira Seyfulla, teacher of the school-gymnasium No. 51 named after Mustafa Shokay.
