For students of Astana's gymnasium school No. 22, a visiting lecture titled "Astana is a symbol of independent Kazakhstan" was given. Instilling a sense of love and pride for their nation, as well as expanding pupils' understanding of Kazakhstan's capital city through its history and architecture, is the goal of the lesson, which is given by a leading researcher of the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the lecture, the children learned interesting facts from the history of the origin and development of the city: about ancient and medieval settlements on the territory of the modern capital and its surroundings, as well as about the foundation of Akmola fortification and acquiring the status of a regional city. The lecturer told students about the development of the city in the XX century, the main prerequisites to transfer the capital of Kazakhstan from Almaty to Akmola, and the international presentation of the new capital.

In the final part of the lesson, schoolchildren were presented the information about world recognition and the international image of the main city of Kazakhstan. During the lecture, archive photo and video materials from the Presidential Center were displayed.
