The opening of the thematic fund exhibition «View through the lens» organized from the collection of material culture objects of the museum collection of the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held.
The exhibition was organized for the Day of Science Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan. For the Kazakh people, the place of education and science, education and upbringing has always stood in a special row. Our ancestors correctly understood that knowledge and science could only be gained through training. Great Abai’s call to the younger generation: «In the thirst for knowledge, the pledge of your direct road»... has not lost its significance today.
The purpose of the exhibition was to reflect the history of the photo industry, the main stages of the development of photographic equipment, photographic business before the photography of our time on the example of documentary and material objects of the museum collection of the Presidential Center.
The exhibition featured 53 unique exhibits from the Presidential Center fund, as well as from the fund of the North Kazakhstan regional association of museums within the framework of inter-museum cooperation. There’re 34 cameras and photo albums produced in the 30-90s of the last century, as well as camera parts. These exhibits showed great achievements in the development of science and technology.
Groups of unique and ancient exhibits were presented to the attention of visitors - a series of volumetric wooden cameras «FK», «FKD». The exhibition was attended by photographers, representatives of embassies and cultural centers, students of the metropolitan school-lyceum No. 15, school-gymnasium No. 86, students of the «Technological College» of the Akimat of Astana and the Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after S. Seifullin. Through the exhibition, visitors were able to learn the secrets of photography.
