On March 19, 2024, at 3 p.m., the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan will host a round table on the topic: "The legislative branch of government: transformation and new guidelines", dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the first parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan.
The main purpose of the event is to promote the principle of "Law and order", in particular, the formation of a culture of respect for the law, solidarity of citizens in the name of strengthening the rule of law, stimulating the values of a responsible citizen, building systems of checks and balances in the state apparatus, increasing accountability and transparency of state bodies.
The legislative power plays a key role in the political life of the country. The
constitutional reform of 2022 marked a new stage of transformation of the entire political system, aimed at strengthening the role of Parliament, all institutions ofcivil society in the country, the formation of new democratic standards.
The round table event will allow experts to discuss the main problems of institutionalization of the supreme legislative body at various historical stages, prospects for the development of parliamentarism in Kazakhstan in the process of modernization of the entire socio-political system.
The event will be attended by Deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstani and foreign experts, representatives of the scientific community, development institutions and civil society, faculty and university students.
