Students in the seventh grade at the Talgat Bigeldinov-named Lyceum School No. 1 in the capital attended a museum lesson titled "Institute of Batyrship: Traditions, Status, and Weapons" at the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In an engaging class in the museum hall "Kazakhstan in the World Community," students were introduced to the custom of presenting weapons as well as the idea of "bes karu." (five types of weapons of the Kazakh batyr: kylysh - saber, semser - sword, nayza - spear, sungi - pike , sadak - bow, kurzi - mace, aibalta - battle hatchet). Furthermore, the schoolchildren reinforced their understanding of the phases involved in the establishment of Kazakhstan's autonomy and the creation of the Armed Forces of the nation. The students studied the assortment of weapons on display at the exhibition with great interest and learned about renowned weaponry schools. A few of the exhibited weapons were available for the children to handle and inspect.
