An open discussion platform "Honest citizen - honest work" started in the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan,  the purpose of which is to increase social and civic activity through analysis and public discussion of problems of society, the formation of legal culture and the political consciousness of students.

Students from Astana No. 53, 65, 83, and 96 secondary schools in grades 9–10 attended the first qualifying round. It was held in the British style of parliamentary debates. Two teams' speakers defended the claim that the modern world has devalued the idea of "work," whereas the members of the other two teams disagreed.

The judges were Deputy Director of the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Sydykov, representative of the Kazakhstan Institute of Social Development JSC of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erkebulan Kuanbay and teacher of the gymnasium No. 67 named after Ilyas Yesenberlin in Astana Amangeldy Bodanov.

As a result of the debates, the team from school-gymnasium No. 96 advanced to the next stage. All participants were awarded certificates.
