

The Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a themed museum lesson on "Kazakh musical art" for pupils from the Gafu Kairbekov gymnasium No. 2 in the capital.
Schoolchildren learnt about the history of the kobyz, dombra, and zhetygen in the interactive hall of the Presidential Center museum. They also discovered numerous fascinating details about the characteristics of Kazakh national instruments.
In the course of the class, the students were taught about the life and creative legacy of Korkyt-ata, the originator of kobyz, an iconic character in Kazakh folklore history, as well as other well-known Kazakh musicians and composers.
