The listeners of the museum lesson "Institute of Batyrship: traditions, status and armament", held at the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan on October 3 this year, were students of the 6th grade of the Lyceum School No. 11 named after U.Zhanibekov in Astana.

The first part of the lesson was devoted to the history and peculiarities of the tradition of giving weapons. Then the students got acquainted with the concepts of "institute of batyrship" and "bes karu" – the equipment of the Kazakh warrior-batyr, consisting of five mandatory types of combat weapons.

The children got a unique opportunity not only to view the museum exhibits up close, but also to touch the unique artifacts from the collection of weapons presented in the expositions.
