The results of the annual "Abai Readings" literary contest, dedicated to the legacy of the renowned Kazakh poet, thinker, and founder of classical Kazakh written literature, Abai Kunanbayev, were announced at the Presidential Center of the DPA RK.
This year, 217 people from various regions of the country participated in the 10th anniversary "Abai Readings" contest. Participants included kindergarteners, schoolchildren, college and university students, and employees from various organizations. The youngest participant was three years old.
Children from kindergartens and specialized schools for children with special educational needs also demonstrated significant interest in Abai's legacy, reflecting a strong desire for knowledge and creativity.
Organizations subordinate to the DPA RK made notable contributions to the contest through active staff participation. These organizations include the "Karlygash" Kindergarten, the "National Hospital" of the Medical Center of the DPA RK, the "Center for Medical Technologies and Information Systems" JSC, the "Motor Transport Enterprise of the Department for Logistical Support of the Kurultai of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the "Directorate of Administrative Buildings of the Administration of the President and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan," and the "Motor Transport Enterprise of the DPA RK."
The Grand Prix was awarded to the children of the "Qoshaqan" preschool group at Kindergarten No. 56 "Bereke" in Astana.
Among schoolchildren, first place was awarded to Suleymen Aspandiyar, a 10th-grade student at Specialized Gymnasium No. 8 (M.Kh. Dulati Trilingual School) in Shymkent. Second place was shared by Telman Nuriman, a 9th-grade student at Karasu Secondary School in the Kaztalov District of the West Kazakhstan Region, and Suleymen Adiya, a 7th-grade student at M.Kh. Dulati Specialized Gymnasium No. 8 in Shymkent. Third place was shared by Rabay Ayaulym, an 8th-grade student at the N. Tlendiev Specialized Boarding School-Gymnasium, and Nokhat Alina, an 11th-grade student at the S. Seifullin Regional Specialized Boarding School-Lyceum No. 11 for Gifted Children in Uralsk.
Among adult participants, first place went to Zulkharnaev Askar, an employee of the Directorate of Administrative Buildings under the Administration of the President and Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the DPA RK. Second place was awarded to Saidullakyzy Zhasmina, a student at Karaganda Industrial University. Third place went to employees of the "Motor Pool of the Department for Material and Technical Support of the Kurultai of the Republic of Kazakhstan" of the DPA RK.
Additionally, participants who demonstrated unique styles of poetry recitation, creative approaches, or presented innovative projects were recognized in special categories:
- Zhandoskyzy Aisaule, a pupil of the "Qoshqan" group at Kindergarten No. 56 "Bereke" in Astana: "Bright Star";

- Osetrova Alina, student at Dokuchaevka Secondary School, Altynsarin District, Kostanay Region: "For Passion for the Art of the Spoken Word";
- Zhumagali Nurbek, 11th-grade student at the S. Seifullin Regional Specialized Boarding Lyceum No. 11 for Gifted Children, Uralsk: "For an Outstanding Image";
- Temirtayev Nurdaulet, 6th-grade student at the same school: "Expressive Voice";
- Tilekkyzy Kausar (9th grade) and Serikzhan Aizere (11th grade), students at Special Boarding School No. 3, Semey: "For Passion for Art";
- Kaziev Temirlan, 10th-grade student at Regional Special Boarding School No. 2, Uralsk: "Master of the Spoken Word";
- Shapauova Saulesh Ashtayevna (Kazakh language teacher) and Turlybekova Maral Adilbekovna (educator at "Karlygash" Kindergarten, Medical Center of the DPA RK, Astana): "Dedicated Educator";
- Abjami Kuatzhan, an information security specialist at the "Center for Medical Technologies and Information Systems" of the Medical Center of the DPA RK.
As Serik Sydykov, Chairman of the Council of Mentors of the DPA RK and Advisor to the Director of the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted: "Abai and his work remain relevant even in today’s globalized world. We find answers to many questions that concern us today within his writings. Therefore, the comprehensive promotion of Abai’s creative and intellectual legacy remains a vital task. Turning to the words of wisdom from outstanding thinkers who strove with every word to foster the development of national consciousness is our shared duty."
