
On August 22, 2025, at 3:00 PM, the Presidential Center of the DPA RK will host the opening of the exhibition “The Renewed Constitution – A Guarantee of a Just Society”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of Kazakhstan. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The exhibition showcases materials, artifacts, and documents from the Presidential Center's museum, archive, and library collections, reflecting the evolution of constitutionalism in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The exhibition is divided into three sections:
1. “Steppe Laws – A Treasure Trove of Wisdom”
2. “The Constitution – The Foundation of Independence”
3. “The Renewed Constitution – A Basis for Modernization”
Among the unique exhibits are editions of the Constitution in Kazakh and Russian languages, printed in Braille, prepared by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cooperation with the OSCE Programme Office in Astana.
This year, in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Constitution, mountaineer and cultural figure Kairbek Alibek carried the text of the Constitution to the summit of Island Peak (6,180 meters above sea level) in the Himalayas.
The exhibition features a photograph capturing this historic moment, which has become a symbol of the deep respect the people of Kazakhstan have for their country’s Constitution.
The opening ceremony will be attended by representatives of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Center for Human Rights, the Central Election Commission, the Institute of Legislation and Legal Information, the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Institute of State History, the Law Enforcement Academy under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as prominent public and government figures. Among the honored guests are the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan, A.E. Lastaev; a member of the working group on constitutional amendments, S.F. Udartsev; renowned scholars; and professionals from the fields of education and culture.
