The plenary session of the International Scientific and Practical Conference "AIU-2025: Kazakhstan and the International Educational Space: Cooperation for the Future" took place at the Presidential Center of the DPA RK. Timed to coincide with Science Day, it became a landmark event for discussing the prospects for the development of education, science, and international partnership.
The Presidential Center of the DPA RK, Astana International University, Beijing Language and Culture University, Tomsk State University, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, and I. Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University organised the conference.
‘Today, we live in an era of rapid change, where science is becoming increasingly important for solving global challenges. Climate change, energy crisis, resource scarcity, digital security, and many other acute issues require innovative approaches and scientific solutions. President of Kazakhstan K.K.Tokayev, in his speech dedicated to the Day of Science Workers, emphasised: ‘The path to the top of science is thorny, and only truly dedicated, diligent, hardworking and creative people can withstand difficulties on this path. We must ingrain these valuable societal qualities to become a progressive nation truly.’ And today's conference, uniting representatives of far and near abroad, as well as Kazakhstan, will contribute to these processes, creating conditions for the exchange of experience, launching joint scientific research, and expanding academic openness’, said in his speech the Director of the Presidential Centre of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Temirbolat.
"This conference clearly demonstrates Kazakhstan's active engagement in global processes in education and science. For us, it is not merely a platform for exchanging ideas but also an important step toward future international partnerships and joint projects. The wide range of participants and speakers highlights the relevance and significance of this event. Development driven by science and education is a strategic choice for our country," said Anar Myrzagalieva, First Vice President of Astana International University.
Over 100 representatives of Kazakhstan’s academic and scientific communities, as well as experts from China, Russia, Poland, India, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries, attended the plenary session.
It is worth noting that the conference program covers key focus areas such as digitalization, the use of generative artificial intelligence, the global economy, creative industries, international cooperation, the humanities and natural sciences, and the future of education within the context of global trends.
The remaining events will continue through April 25 at the university’s academic buildings. The program includes plenary sessions, roundtable discussions, panel debates, and masterclasses delivered by recognized experts in the fields of education and science.
Importantly, the conference is not only a platform for scholarly dialogue but also a valuable opportunity to establish strong connections between the academic community, government institutions, and representatives of international organizations.
