A Youth Forum titled "Adal Adam – Adal Enbek," dedicated to the Year of Skilled Trades, was held at the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event was organized by the Presidential Center of the DPA of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, and the "Assembly of Youth" RPA.
The forum's main objective was to popularize the image of the working individual and promote the principles of respect for labor through motivational meetings with renowned professionals from various sectors.
Around 150 participants attended the event.
In his Address to the People of Kazakhstan, titled "Fair Kazakhstan: Law and Order, Economic Growth, Public Optimism," President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev outlined the primary goals of the Year of Skilled Trades as follows: "The reform of the technical and vocational education system is essential. The Year of Skilled Trades will also contribute to promoting the values of hard work and professionalism in our society." The recent global economic crises have clearly demonstrated that no state can develop and thrive without a robust real economy represented by industries and agriculture. Moreover, in the post-industrial era, working professions are experiencing a true renaissance, requiring advanced qualifications, intellectual potential, and high-level skills in managing modern equipment and mastering digital technologies. According to expert estimates, Kazakhstan will need approximately one million specialists with vocational-technical education within the next five years. "Only persistent and constructive labor has always been and remains the key to personal success and the prosperity of society as a whole," said Bakytzhan Temirbolat, Director of the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in his speech.
Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Marat Azilkhanov’s Address at the Forum. In his welcoming speech, Marat Azilkhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, emphasized: "The Assembly is, first and foremost, about people. We must showcase vivid examples of honest dedication to one’s work that will motivate the youth of Kazakhstan, as well as highlight the contribution of various ethnic groups to the development of the country and society. We are establishing close collaboration with students from vocational educational institutions with the goal of creating new opportunities for youth and generating interesting projects. It is important for us that the working youth can always effectively utilize opportunities for social advancement and discover possibilities through participation in public life. I am confident that today’s forum will serve as an excellent platform for youth to meet, exchange experiences, and engage in meaningful interactions with our speakers."
"According to the action plan for the Year of Vocational Professions, it includes: the creation of new jobs, the adoption of professional standards and new curricula for acquiring in-demand skills in the labor market, strengthening collaboration between employers, schools, and colleges, the development of mentorship programs, hosting job fairs, and providing training for schoolchildren and students of vocational and technical education (VTE) on job search and employment skills, ensuring safe working conditions, as well as organizing activities aimed at enhancing the image of working professions," stated Akmadi Sarbasov, First Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
