The Presidential Center of the UDP of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted the grand opening of a personal exhibition by Bakytzhan Usembekov, a member of the Union of Craftsmen and the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, titled "Images of the Ages."

Usembekov Bakytzhan Abilmazhitovich was born in 1993 in the Atbasar district of the Akmola region. The jeweller graduated with honours from the A.Kasteyev College of Arts and Design in Shymkent, specializing in "Jewelry Art." He also studied at the Kazakh National University of Arts, focusing on "Metal Processing." The author of the exhibition has participated in numerous national and international exhibition projects.

All members of the Usembekov family are creative individuals, with the dynasty of jewellers beginning with the family’s grandfather, a blacksmith.

Bakytzhan Usembekov is a master of contemporary jewellery art, reviving ancient techniques. The young jeweller skillfully crafts ancient household items from wood, bone, and other natural materials.

"The Presidential Centre of RK pays special attention to promoting and supporting the work of domestic and foreign masters of fine arts. We now have the opportunity to appreciate the works of Bakytzhan Usembekov, who has made a name for himself in painting and jewellery. In the works of this young artist, there is a clear respect for the national cultural heritage, historical past, and customs of the Kazakh people," noted Botagoz Kaipova, Deputy Director of the Presidential Center, in her welcoming speech.

The artist's paintings are distinguished by their versatility, bright colour palette and variety of themes. In his works, he tells a story about the harmony and inseparable connection between humans and the surrounding world.

The jewellery compositions, crafted from copper, brass, and silver, are inspired by the ancient Saka technique known as the Saka animal style. At the same time, we can see the interweaving of patterns of Kazakh geometric and zoomorphic ornament in the jewellery he created.

"Today, we are at the opening of the exhibition of our university graduate Bakytzhan Usembekov. By looking at Bakytzhan's works, we can appreciate his jewellery and paintings, created to a very high standard. His pursuit of perfection and constant creative exploration has led him to create bold experimental works that incorporate new forms, textures, and themes," said Arystan Smagulov, a member of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan, cultural figure, and Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the Kazakh National University of Arts.

Bakytzhan Usembekov's creative style reflects a careful attitude toward national heritage and a modern interpretation of traditional motifs from ancient Kazakh art.

"In my works, I use diverse fragments, styles, and techniques from various times and eras, all dedicated to the traditions and customs of the Kazakh people. With my creative concept I want to show how limitless art is and how you can express your vision through it," shared Bakytzhan Usembekov.

About 30 jewellery pieces and 10 paintings made by the author in different years are presented to the guests of the exhibition.
