During the seven months of 2024, over 57,000 residents and visitors of the capital, including foreign visitors from China, Russia, the United States, France, Germany, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, and other nations, visited the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As is known, the Presidential Center is a large museum and cultural and educational institution dedicated to the history of Kazakhstan's independence through the prism of the Institution of the Presidency. Housing a museum, an archive and a library under one roof, the Presidential Center has a rich collection of relevant museum artefacts, archival documents and book publications.
The main attraction for visitors is the Museum of the Presidential Center. Its displays, cutting-edge digital tools and interactive features enable you to completely immerse yourself in the historical setting and make a trip to the museum an exciting experience. At present, the museum collection includes about 12,000 exhibits covering collections of fine and decorative-applied arts, numismatics, cold and firearms, clothes, utensils, textiles, felt, jewellery, souvenirs and others.
Within the scope of 16 themed exhibitions held from January to July of this year, unique historical items from the Presidential Center's holdings were also on display for a large audience. The exhibitions "The World of Exquisite and Amazing Forms", "Dala Auenderi", "Diplomatic Gifts - Symbol of Friendship", "Firearms: Pistol History", "Unifying Art: Kazakhstan-India", "Shanghai Cooperation Organization: Region of Peace and Harmony", timed to coincide with the Summit of the SCO member states, aroused great interest among the visitors.
The number of domestic and foreign researchers and students who have turned to the resources of the archival and library collections of the Presidential Center has increased significantly. In the reading room, anyone can familiarize themselves with archival documents and book publications on the theory and practice of state building, the history of statehood in Kazakhstan and the countries of Central Asia, and the formation and development of the Institution of Presidency in our country. Readers have access to more than 150 thousand archival documents and 40 thousand books and periodicals, among which documents from personal archives of presidents of Kazakhstan, rare editions, and books with gift inscriptions of outstanding figures of our time are of special value.
