Antique book of the twentieth century “Dzhambul. Songs and poems", dedicated to the work of the outstanding Kazakh akyn-improviser, folk singer Dzhambul Dzhabaev (1846-1945), published in 1937 in Almaty in the Kazakh publishing house of fiction in Russian language in twenty-five thousand copies. The peak of the work of the great Kazakh akyn improviser D. Dzhabaev (1846-1945) is the aitys genre, where the best akyn songwriters of the steppe competed. He sang to the accompaniment of the dombra in the style of tolgau (recitative). He learned the art of improvisation from akyn Suyunbai. Dzhambul sang exclusively in the Kazakh language. At the end of the XIX - early XX century, he repeatedly participated and won the aitys of prominent akyns. He was famous as a master of diatribe songs. Zhambyl is an inexhaustible spring of poetry, an inextinguishable source of wisdom, and an enduring value. His work will always be with the people. Zhambyl's works were translated into many languages of the world and spread to many countries.
