The opening ceremony of the cultural and educational project of the Presidential Center of the Department of Presidential Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “ Loyalty to the traditions of our ancestors” was held in the secondary school of the village of Taitobe, Akmola region.
The project organized on the eve of the Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day, as well as in honor of the 100th anniversary of Halyk Kaharmany Sagadat Nurmagambetov and Rakhymzhan Koshkarbayev is aimed at promoting national spiritual values and disclosure of cultural heritage, formation of patriotic spirit in the younger generation by the example of the life path of prominent historical figures of Kazakhstan.
Botagoz Kaipova, Deputy Director of the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted in her welcoming speech that the project “ Loyalty to the traditions of our ancestors”, which opens a series of field events of the Presidential Center in 2024, is presented for the first time today. And it is no coincidence that Taitobe village was chosen for this purpose because this is where our great compatriot, who hoisted the banner of Victory over the Reichstag in Berlin Rakhymzhan Koshkarbayev was born and grew up.
Deputy Akim of Kosshy Bergen Zhumkey, in turn, wished everyone in attendance a happy Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day. While expressing gratitude to the Presidential Center team for their hard work, he also expressed confidence that all students would find great value in this endeavor.
Within the framework of the project, thematic visiting mini-exhibitions were organized, including presentations and a wide range of exhibits based on the rich collection of archival and museum materials of the Presidential Center, thematic excursions according to the school curriculum for various age groups, museum lessons from the series “Artifacts Reveal Secrets”, and also a training seminar “Fair Kazakhstan: Honest Citizen”.
More than 60 original exhibits selected from the museum collection on the theme of the exploits of Kazakhstanis in the Great Patriotic War, the history of the institution of batyrhood and armament of Kazakh warriors, and the improvement of firearms were presented to the attention of students. Among them was the sign of the highest distinction of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Halyk Kaharmany” and the Order “Otan”, symbols of special units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a sample of the sword Zulfikar, Japanese, Arab, Indonesian edged weapons, Kalashnikov assault rifle, machine gun “Maxim” and many others.
In total, the project covered about 350 pupils of the school of “Taitobe” village.

I. The thematic excursion “Military heritage of the Kazakh people. Men's weapons - five types of weapons” tells about the phenomenon of the institute of batyrhood and presents materials telling about the formation of the professional class of warrior-batyrs in the historical and cultural environment.
ІІ. “Kos shynar. The world of weapons”. The excursion acquaints pupils with the evolution of weapons by means of exhibits from the collection of weapons of the Presidential Center, telling about feats of daughters of Kazakh people M. Mametova and A. Moldagulova.
III. The thematic excursion “ Tauelsizdiktin tungysh tarkhany ” is devoted to the life path of the veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Hero of the Soviet Union, Halyk Кaharmany, the first Minister of Defense of independent Kazakhstan, Army General S. Nurmagambetov, as well as the history of the formation of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.
IV. The thematic excursion “Zheniske zhetkizgender” is devoted to the contribution of Kazakhstanis to the Great Patriotic War, tells about the feat and life path of the warrior, Halyk Kaharmany R. Koshkarbayev, who hoisted the Victory Banner over the Reichstag.
V. Seminar-training “Fair Kazakhstan: Honest Citizen” consists of lectures and practical exercises. It is aimed at broad disclosure of the meaning of the Addresses and speeches of the Head of State, adopted programs and strategic documents, large-scale political and economic reforms carried out in the country.
VII. The lecture “Onegeli Omir” introduces the biography and labor activity of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K.Tokayev.
VIII. At the lesson “Kazakh musical art” the history of origin of national musical instruments of Kazakh people, including the stages of production of kobyz, dombra, zhetygen is revealed in detail; the life path and creativity of masters of art is told.
