Teachers and librarians from Astana's schools participated in a city seminar titled "Fundamentals of Spiritual Knowledge and Teaching" held today at the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Serik Sydykov, the deputy director of the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, opened the seminar by pointing out that numerous events had grown into good traditions because of the Center's longstanding relationship with the educational institutions in the capital.
"Today's seminar raises an urgent issue. In his remarks, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated: "Educating the next generation is a very important and challenging duty. The youthful energy should have a clear purpose and be resilient enough to face life's challenges. There is no other way," he said. First and foremost, we need to educate and become spiritually literate to improve the spiritual culture of children. The nation's educated youth will determine its future and present. Regardless of the era, the Kazakh people have always known that the education of the next generation is the fate of the nation, the future of the nation," S. Sydykov said.
The importance of national values in the building of a nation was emphasized by Zhangeldy Amirgaliyev, the deputy head of the "Methodological Center" of the Akimat of Astana, in his address.
During the seminar, consultant of the Astana city branch of the International Society "Kazakh Language" Bolat Zheksengaliyev spoke about the norms of Kazakh speech and academic literacy, and Vice-president of the Almatykitap publishing house Gulnur Kudaibergen focused on the role of the book series "My Kazakhstan" in the formation of children's knowledge.
