On November 10, 2023 at 4 p.m. the opening of «Tenge is a symbol of independence» exhibition, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the national currency of Kazakhstan will take place at the Presidential center of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event will be attended by representatives of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, authorized central state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, deputies of both chambers of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, state and public figures, as well as representatives of diplomatic missions of foreign countries.
At the exhibition will be presented the selection of the Kazakhstan numismatics - from the first specimen of tenge to bullion and collector coins, banknotes that brought world fame and recognition of the international experts to the Kazakhstan currency. Along with new samples of the national currency, at the exhibition are presented the original coins found on the territory of Kazakhstan and dated from the 8th – 14th centuries.
The exhibition consists of the following thematic groups: ancient coins of Kazakhstan, prerequisites for the creation of the national currency, cooperation with the international financial organizations, the Kazakhstan Mint of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, collector, bullion and commemorative coins.
